Buggy-Friendly Winter Hikes at Ortler Ski Arena

Enjoy the Natural Side of a South Tyrol Winter

A winter hike through the snowy forest shows the winter season in South Tyrol at its best. The sunny South Tyrolean winter offers countless opportunities for winter hiking and a stroll with the whole family. The many cleared trails running through the ski areas of Ortler Ski Arena, many of which can be undertaken with a buggy, are especially wonderful for families.

In addition, there is a dense network of lodges with sun-kissed terraces throughout the ski areas of Ortler Ski Arena: this allows you to turn back with the toddler and stroller whenever the need arises.

The hike to the Allriss mountain pasture in the Ladurns ski area begins at the Höfen farm, continuing along the Allriss forest track. After a left turn and crossing through the woods we reach Hauseben. After reaching the bend, we turn right and go on till the end of the forest track. Continuing through the woods to Rio Allriss river and the Alpine pasture, we return to the Allriss mountain shelter. We follow the forest road up to Hauseben and after that there’s the last stretch to the Höfen farm.

This winter trek is 5.8 km long and lasts about 2 hours. The hiker’s effort will be rewarded with a winter experience in a pristine landscape with breath-taking views.
