Weather in the mountains
Weather in the mountains
South Tyrol is under a north-westerly flow, in which the next front is embedded.
Across South Tyrol’s mountains, thicker cloud layers above ridge level will alternate with a few sunny intervals. Cloud cover will generally be most extensive along the main Alpine ridge.
Mountain weather tomorrow
A northwesterly upper-level flow will bring moist Atlantic air towards the northern side of the Alps. South Tyrol will lie in the lee of the Alps and remain slightly favoured.
Partly to mostly cloudy conditions continue. A more favourable and brighter impression will prevail across the southern mountain groups. Along the main Alpine ridge, cloud cover will remain more compact, and a few snow flurries are possible locally during the first half of the day.
Forecast
Next evolution
On Tuesday, conditions will remain variably to mostly cloudy with locally föhn winds. In the north, from the upper Vinschgau through the Wipptal to the Pustertal Valley, light rain is possible during the morning, with the snow line between 1300 and 1700 m. In the southernmost parts of the region, generally fair conditions will prevail. On Wednesday, after the dissipation of local fog patches, mostly bright sunshine and largely cloudless skies are expected. Thursday will again be mostly sunny with spring-like temperatures. No significant change is expected on Friday, with sunshine from morning to evening.
