On Wednesday, the weather will remain changeable with plenty of cloud. Showers will keep moving in from the south-west, and isolated thunderstorms are also possible. From the Unterland to the Ahrntal valley and the Dolomites, heavy rainfall is possible, whilst there will be less rain towards the upper Vinschgau valley.

Weather in the mountains
Moist and unstable air masses are being drawn towards the Alps from the south-west.
Conditions in the mountains are adverse, with heavy cloud cover and, in places, heavy showers and thunderstorms. The snow line is dropping to around 2.500 m, and as low as 2.000 m along the alpine crest.
Mountain weather tomorrow
A warm front will temporarily bring moister air towards the Alps.
In the north, the sky will be very cloudy with rain expected during the day along the border ridge, whilst in the south the weather will be sunny at times with no rain.

Saturday will start with some high, passing clouds. The weather will then become very sunny, with temperatures rising significantly. In the southern valleys, temperatures will once again reach 30°C. On Sunday, the weather will remain sunny with summer-like conditions. Towards the evening, the Föhn wind will begin to blow in the northern valleys. On Monday, sunny conditions will prevail. In the afternoon, there will be a slight increase in the likelihood of showers in the mountains. Sunny weather is forecast for Tuesday.
