Weather in the mountains
A low-pressure system over the western Mediterranean is determining our weather.
Clouds and fog are causing poor visibility. After a mostly dry first half of the day, precipitation will set in from the south in the afternoon. Snow will fall above approximately 2100 m.
Mountain weather tomorrow
The upper-level flow shifts to the northwest, and with a cold front, air masses of polar origin reach the Alps.
The day begins widely overcast and wet, with snowfall above roughly 1900 m. As the day progresses, the onset of a northerly föhn will bring drier intervals and brief bright spells. Toward evening, a cold front and gusty northwesterly winds will bring another round of snow showers, with the snow line dropping to around 1000 m.

Temperatures will be noticeably lower than recently. Wednesday will also be quite sunny and cool. A few harmless clouds will pass far above the peaks. Thursday is expected to bring a lot of cloud and some localised rain. The snow line will lie between 600 and 1000 m. Friday will remain mostly overcast.
