A low-pressure system centred over northern Europe will draw masses of cool, moist air towards the Alps.
The weather in the mountains of South Tyrol will be unsettled and cold. Showers, some of them heavy, will move in from the south-west and spread to all mountain ranges as the day progresses. The snow line will be between 1,200 and 1,800 m.

As the day progresses, a northerly wind will blow across many valleys and the showers will gradually ease off. Temperatures will remain fairly low.
