The Nauders Ski Area

The ski area on the triborder area

The snow-sure Bergkastel Ski Area is the perfect place for a fun day of skiing for the whole family. The high quality ski area has 12 lifts, all equipped with lift safety devices for children, and 33 pistes/freeride routes over a total length of around 75 kilometres. In Nauders you’ll find perfectly prepared slopes as well as the Bergkastel toboggan run, at 8 km one of the longest toboggan runs in the Alps.

When you ride the cable car from Nauders all the way up to the Tscheyeck, you’ll know right away that you’re in the middle of the mountains. From here, there are Tyrolean, South Tyrolean, and Swiss peaks in all directions, as far as the eye can see. The splendid, wide slopes make for a fantastic ride down.

Alpine enjoyment in mountain restaurants
Fine food, cordial hospitality, rustic lodges and lively après ski are perfect ways to round out the day.

Tip: the Stieralm mountain hut, a gastronomical highlight in the Nauders Ski Area.

The Nauders ski area is part of the Two Country Skiarena ski association.
The following ski areas belong to the Two Country Skiarena ski association: Nauders, Belpiano-Malga S. Valentino, Watles, Trafoi, Solda

In Nauders Ski Area, a supersized sledding experience doesn’t even require a walk uphill: you start right at the Bergkastel lift upper station, at 2,200 metres above sea level. Toboggans can be rented directly in the sports shop at the Seilbahncenter. Incidentally, Nauders is the first resort to be awarded the Tiroler Toboggan Seal of Quality for two toboggan runs: the Bergkastel run and the Lärchenalm run!

    Night tobogganing (Thursdays)
The lit Lärchenalm Toboggan run guarantees 4 km of nighttime tobogganing fun.

Generous descents, modern lift systems, and lots of sunny slopes for carving in opulent “widescreen” format at 2,850 metres above sea level make Nauders a real Ski-Dorado. For ambitious ski freaks there’s Gueser Kopf, one of the best runs in the Nauders Ski Area, where you can swoop down to the valley or indulge your passion for deep powder.
