Weather in the mountains

A weak influence of high pressure will once again bring settled conditions.
Cloud and fog will often restrict visibility across South Tyrol’s mountains, with sunshine appearing only locally. The most favourable conditions are expected in the Vinschgau and at higher elevations.

With a westerly upper-level flow, moist air masses are reaching the Alpine region.
Clouds and fog are limiting visibility in the mountains of South Tyrol. It will remain dry most of the time, but isolated snow showers cannot be ruled out.

During the night of Wednesday, a disturbance will bring light rain and snowfall above approximately 800 m. On Wednesday morning, the precipitation will subside and in the afternoon, the clouds will clear from the west. On Thursday, clouds will predominate. Some precipitation is possible, especially in the northern half of the region. Friday will bring a pleasant mix of sun and clouds. On Saturday, clouds will dominate again and there may be some rain or snow in some areas. At the same time, the north foehn wind will pick up.
